Silvan G.-R. Meier

Silvan G.-R. Meier has been Chairman of the Board of Directors since 2012. After completing a degree in economics at the University of Zurich, he worked as a management consultant for Simon, Kucher & Partners, specializing in sales and marketing strategies as a senior consultant. In 2006 he was appointed Head of Business Development for the Walter Meier Group, where he now holds the post of CEO. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of MWH Barcol-Air AG.

Heinz Roth

Heinz Roth has been an independent non executive Member of the Board of Directors since 2005 and has been Chairman of the Audit Committee since 2008. Since 2012 he is also Vice Chairman of the Walter Meier Group. Heinz Roth is also the Chairman of the Audit Committee of Meyer Burger Technology AG, where he is a Member of the Board of Directors. He is also a Member of the Board of Koras AG (Blaser Swisslube). As a banking specialist, he also advises companies in the financial sector. Previously, Heinz Roth was a Member of the Board of Directors of Bank Vontobel and he held management positions – both in Switzerland and abroad – in the Credit Suisse Group, including CEO of Credit Suisse Private Banking Switzerland and as a Member of the Management of Credit Suisse Financial Services.

Paul Witschi

In 2007, Paul Witschi was appointed as an independent, non executive Member of the Board of Directors. Since March 2012 he is also Chairman of the Compensation Committee. He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Arbonia-Forster-Holding, a Member of the Board of Directors of Reichle & De-Massari and a Member of the Supervisory Board of the Vaillant Group. As a Member of Group Management as well as Head of International Marketing and Sales at Geberit, he was responsible, among other things, for the internationalization of the Geberit Group. Previously, Paul Witschi was Head of Export, subsequently Head of Group Marketing and an Executive Vice President of Luwa Air Engineering.

Alfred Gaffal

Alfred Gaffal was appointed as an independent, non-executive member of the Board of Directors in 2012. His has previously served as a member of the Management Board of Centrotec and as Managing Director of the climate technology company Wolf. He guided Wolf through a highly successful innovation and quality campaign and focused the company on the up-and-coming market for energy-saving and energy-efficiency solutions.
